The Oak Grove Classical Academy Booster Club was established in 2013, as a committee dedicated to fundraising for our athletics and activities programs each academic year. Comprised of parent volunteers, the committee averages 10 members per year, and is always open to more! The main fundraiser the Booster Club holds every fall is a 5k/Fun Run race called the Harvest Run.
From 2013-2014, the race was named Virtus, which is the Latin word for valor, courage, or excellence. In 2015, the race was called Ditch the Pavement, Run the Trail, and was coordinated as a run through the Albuquerque Bosque dirt trails. In 2016, the committee moved the race to Hoffmantown Church, running through the trails between Hoffmantown’s Mission Field and Albuquerque Academy. The race has been renamed to become our annual Harvest Run. Along with the race, the Boosters help coordinate a Fall Festival where school teams and activity groups can host a booth to raise money for their teams/groups. It is an event our whole school looks forward to each fall!
Along with the Harvest Run, Boosters raises money through school merchandise sales all year long, as well as selling lunch at special events, including Science Day, English Expo, and Field Day. With the efforts of our Booster Club members, we are able to raise over $10,000 annually for our sports teams school activities and programs! We are actively seeking sponsorships each year, and are blessed by our school community and family businesses support. Thank you all!
